Die Flure - the hallways
Wir arbeiten auf Hochtouren, damit bis zur offiziellen Eröffnung am 10. Juni alles fertig wird. Diese Woche wurden im mittleren Stock im Gang die letzten Böden neu verlegt und somit kann endlich ein Haken unter das Kapitel "Gänge" gesetzt werden. Es war ziemlich viel Fläche und ziemlich viel zu tun... fangen wir mit den vielen Bildern ganz oben an, wo auch als erstes renoviert wurde. Hinzu kam jüngst nur noch die Teeküche und der Kronleuchter.
We work like crazy to get everything done until the official openin on June10. This week we finished the floors in the hallway on the middle floor and now I can mark the chapter "hallways" as complete. It was all in all much surface and much work ... let's start with the pictures on the upper floor and move downwards. We renovated that very early, new are the tea kitchen and the chandelier.
Das Konzept ist, dass sich meine Gäste dort Tee und Kaffee machen können. "Derzeit noch kostenlos" .... um meine Hausordnung zu zitieren.
The concept is that my guests can make themselves tea or coffe there. "At the moment still for free" ... to quote my house rules.

Und nun sind wir schon ein Stockwerk tiefer, wo diese Woche noch Böden verlegt wurden.
And now we are already one floor down, the floors have been laid this week.

Nach Weihnachten haben wir erst mal Sauerei gemacht beim Tapetenablösen:
After Christmas we made quite a mess when removing wallpapers:
Aus dem Loch in der Decke wurde alles rausgeholt, was rauskam.
Everything that came out of the hole on the ceiling has been removed.
Bevor es wieder zugemacht wurde (das Verspachteln kostete den Papa auch viel Zeit):
Before it has been filled again, as the rest of the walls. Quite a bit of work for my dad.
Dann Tapezieren mit Glasfasertapete (was erstaunlich schnell ging durch die 1m breiten Rollen) und Streichen mit Latexfarbe.
Then wallpapering with glassfibre wallpaper (which was been done very quickly thanks to the rolls with a width of 1m) and painting with latex paint.
Das Geländer kam auch dran für die Streichexpertin im Hause für alles außer Wände.
The balustrade has been done by the expert for painting everything but walls.

Die Treppe war eine extra Sache. Die hat meine Mama letztes Jahr während ein paar Tagen komplett geschliffen, gebeizt und lackiert.
The stairs are an extra topic. My mom grinded and painted them during a few days last summer.
Und nun noch der Flur ganz unten beim Eingang, der sieht jetzt auch anders aus. Hier habe ich mich für den Bereich über den Sollnhofer-Platten für Reibeputz entschieden (nun haben wir sämtliche Tapeten- und Putzarten ausprobiert), was bei der Umsetzung auch eine Arbeit war, bei der Mann ziemlich dreckig wurde, aber nun ist auch das fertig.
